Kind Strangers – A Journey of Hands, Hearts, and Heritage
At Kind Strangers, we believe that home is more than just a space. It’s a feeling.
A quiet refuge where stories unfold, cultures intertwine, and small everyday rituals become sacred.
Our journey begins there – at home – where love resides, memories are made, and warmth is woven in every detail.
We are a design studio inspired by the soulfulness of handmade goods and the ancestral wisdom of rural artisans from India.
Every product we create is a testament to the slow beauty of craftsmanship, made entirely by hand using time-honored techniques, natural fibers, and earth‑rooted processes.
From looms in the deserts of Rajasthan to workshops nestled in the Atlas Mountains, we work closely with artisan families to create textiles and pieces that carry meaning, intention, and connection.

OUR STORY
In 2021, in the quiet aftermath of the global pandemic, interior designer Faraz Mohammad from Los Angeles embarked on a trip to India. It was there, amid winding lanes and centuries-old workshops, that he discovered a sobering truth — many artisan factories were closing their doors. Skilled craftspeople, whose families had practiced their art for generations, were being forced to leave their villages and work as laborers in cities. A priceless lineage of craftsmanship was vanishing before his eyes.
SKILLED HAND, MAKING MAGIC
